I bought this light globe and want to use it for our entry way. What do I use to make the hardware part? That is the bulb socket and ceiling mount?

They sell kits for that. Most are the plug into the wall kind but if you take this with you to the hardware store they would probably reverse engineer it and help you figure out the parts you need.
Hi Molly. Take a look on You Tube at MojisStyle. This girl has a lot of different light fixtures that she DIY's . I have one of her projects that I would like to make. When I read your question, I thought of her.
Here is a picture of the basic parts you would need

A cheap ceiling light can be used. Get diameter of the right size and discard the cheap cover. Install with your desired globe since you will have all the parts needed. The lights can be purchased at any home center (along with parts). You can also find them at places like Habitat Restore for real cheap. This all assumes you have a light junction box in your ceiling. If not, you will need to run wire to a new box and switch. However, there are non-wired solutions.
you buy a light kit pendant style to hang it from ceiling or flush mount to hang it from wall like a sconce here is ceiling type with a base https://www.lowes.com/pd/Globe-Electric-Edison-Matte-Black-Pendant-Light-Industrial-Cylinder-Pendant-Light/1000500933?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-lit-_-google-_-pla-_--_-sosdecorationlighting-_-1000500933-_-0&placeholder=null&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxp708fKI6QIVjRitBh0rLA3BEAkYESABEgIFavD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds just unscrew the pieces of fixture feed thru hole in shade put back together and hang where old fixture was(access to electric?) if you do not already have electric going to area you will need electrician to add some power and make hole etc..
Go to a hardware store and ask them what kind of hardware you would need and hopefully they have the products there if not we are in trouble....4-27-20
We have made many lights. As others have said, we bought kits both online and from the local hardware store. You need one made for a hanging fixture, because you need a mounting kit, not a lamp kit.
That is a lamp shade. You will need a ceiling light fixture to fit it. This will need to be done by an electrician. I turned something like that into a hanging candle holder. https://www.homeroad.net/2017/02/vintage-ceiling-light-shade-repurposed.html#more
All you would need is a screw for the stem to attach it to the light on the ceiling
Can you just remove the globe of another light fixture and make this the globe instead? hole just has to be wide enough to go over the light bulb holder.
remove the globe and check light kits on Amazon that will fit your globe
There are kits to turn this into a pendant but if you don’t know a lot about electricity, I’d have an electrician do it. It’s far too easy to mess up wiring and burn your house down.
Hello,
Go along to your DIY store and take it with you . Look in the Electrical isle for bits.
