Sculpting a rock face wall indoors
I have seen projects on sculpting rocks from cement… Would like to know if anyone has sculpted a rock look wall in doors on a painted drywall wall

Hi Sandy, It sounds like you have a very interesting project. One thing iI would keep in mind when installing your sculpted rock on dry wall, is the weight, as Drywall cannot handle a lot of weight. I have found a helpful link. https://www.wikihow.com/Make-Fake-Rocks-with-Concrete

Sandy: you may want to consider faux rock

I sure wouldn't do it on drywall, too heavy, I used concrete backer-board that can hold the weight and the fastners.
Drywall will not carry the weight of concrete. Use foam board insulation to make the stone.

Hello Sandy,
I haven't done that but I have used Super Glypta (a very thick moulded wallpaper)
and made a rock wall with that in the past. I think you can also get plastic moulded panels too.
thank you...I was even thinking something like that but have not found a rock print
