Hello Pad,
You can stick it to the wall or if the mirror is not fixed, use a rebated timber to make a frame. If it doesn't have a backing, then stick it on to MDF allowing overlap to be able to fit your frame to it.
You could use straight timbers 2 x length of mirror and 2 x shorter to fit in between top and bottom timbers, or you could mitre the corners, or you could cut 4 x timbers to match the sides of the mirror and then add a small square of timber in each of the corners. It's a matter of taste really...........Enjoy
