It really depends on what kind of "ceiling" you want. All roofs have rafters that the roof sits on top of. You can cover those rafters with wood, sheet rock etc. Or go for the open rafter look and even just paint the underside of your roof.

Not sure I understand what you are asking but we have a metal shed and the metal roof attached to rafters (also metal). It was part of a kit.

Are you looking for a way to hang a fan? If so, you can go with a drop down fan. Install the base as you would any light fixture.

The metal roof will need to be screwed to wood ceiling joists. You can attach the ceiling to the frame. If it's a kit shed without a wood joists then I would measure the inside of the shed. Build a ceiling joist framework out of 2X4's and screw it to the sidewalls from the outside flush to the metal roof. Then you can add the ceiling.

If you’re wanting to screw drywall or “Sheetrock” to the bottom of the ceiling joists,

please be aware that you’ll need to buy drywall that’s rated for high moisture exposure or exterior exposure.

The screws will also rust, unless you use oil-based paint on the drywall or buy coated screws.

I advise on “Tiny-house” Forums where people build a shed into a house. If this is your intent, then you’ll need to put insulation between the roof and the ceiling, which will need “breathing space” so that the condensation does not build up in there.

Can you post a picture of the inside of the shed looking up? That will show the setup with the rafters.

if your shed is for storage you could add something as simple as vinyl lattice to the ceiling or even a styrofoam ceiling- here is some info

You generally have cross beams you can attach a ceiling to. Does it need a ceiling? You will lose storage if you cover the beams. My husband stored fishing poles on the rafters of our shed. He also ran shelves all the way up one of the walls for additional storage. Good luck and stay safe!
