Start by decluttering! The less you have, the easier it is! Then make sure everything has a place it can be stored. When you are done using it, put it away back in storage! When you run out of storage, that's when it's time to declutter and get rid of stuff you really don't need anymore.
The easiest way to stay organized is to find a place for everything and adapt "everything in its place" policy. You can find organizer containers at the Dollar Tree or most Dollar stores to keep drawers organized. I have found rolling tee-shirts makes them fit better in drawers. Also, put everything away before going to bed. Hope this helps.
Thank you everyone for your tips. I will put them to use.
Tidy as you go.
Its also a state of mind.
Some people are always tidy workers, some are not but you can learn to think tidy by thinking of what you are doing & tidying as you go. Good luck
My biggest stride is to discard unnecessary items. Don’t have items laying on flat surfaces like counters. Purge mail before you bring it in. As you walk through a room, tidy at least one thing each trip.
It depends on what it is exactly you’re trying to organize. Try searching for what it is you’re organizing using the search bar at the top left on Hometalk or online.
