How do I fix my window?
My encasement window closing mechanism was not working. I noticed that the crank on the operator was loose so I went through the trouble of replacing the window operator. This did not
resolve the issue as the window does not close. It’s as if there is an obstacle where the close edge of the window meets the window frame on the bottom. I am not sure what it could be as I already cleared all gunk out. What should I do next?

I wasn't sure what type window this was, as I have only heard them called casement. Anyway, I found out that usually is the crank, but, there are problems like the one you described. There are several good videos on YouTube, but, I think this one addresses your question:

Did you purchase just a replacement crank handle, or the entire operator mechanism ?
If the picture above shows the old mechanism, it looks like it saw its better day long ago. It could be that it is stripped and needs to be replaced in entirely.
You Tube link may be best help. I've neve had this type window.

'Taking another look at the picture you posted, I see that the link arm is no longer attached to the stud bracket.
Did you release it from its correct position, or did it pop out itself? The window will not close properly if this is not attached back in place.
I was also wondering if the wood on the window has gotten wet/has frozen/thawed over the past season. This may have caused expansion and warping, which might be enough to prevent it from closing tightly.
Hi Claud, looks like you are still missing attaching a few items in the pictures, hope this video helps you out,

Hello Claud,
Do you have any other windows in your home? Do check them out and see if they are the same type. Then if they are you will be able to see where the arms not connected in your picture need to be. Hope that is of some help to you.
