Anita: I like that this one is reversible!!

Hello Anita,
Have you thought to draw the letters in capitals (block fashion) and then cut them out. Lay them on the sign and draw around with Sharpie and then colour them in.
PS: Cardboard is good to use along with a ruler.
What sort of background do you want to paint the word PORCH on to?
Will the sign be out in the open, exposed to exterior weather, or will it be in more of a sheltered location?
Hi Anita, this is instruction for a welcome sign, but just change the letters to read porch.

Hello Using a fence board or more expensive piece of lumber paint and a stencil might be suggested.
Hi Anita. I would use a board for your sign. Paint it white. Then use a stencil to make the word porch. Use black paint for the letters. You could even seal it since it is for outside. Good luck Anita.
Hi! Have any scrap wood lying around? Finish with the color or stain you want and then stencil or freehand the word you want. Old shelves work really well for a project like this! Good luck and stay safe!
You could use this idea and just change the letters - https://chascrazycreations.com/diy-front-porch-welcome-sign/
I would make a template of the letters first. Use cardboard and draw the letters. Once you like them, cut them out and use as a stencil. I see a lot of people who use different items for the "O" like a wreath, pumpkin, santa, heart, etc for different holidays & seasons.
