Litter box?
I have 1 great cat, spoiled rotten, but that's ok. I clean her litter box at least 2 times a day. I'm very fussy about keeping any odor away. I don't know if it's because my cat is drinking more water with the warmer weather & seems to be eating more. I'm surprised at that. But her urine odor is very strong. Anyway, I also mix in Arm & Hammer Deodorant powder in the litter box after I clean it. All of a sudden, there's an odor in the laundry room. Anyone know what I can do, maybe add something to cover the smell? HELP !....TY All .Madeline

Hi! It sounds like you are very diligent about the litter box. If the cat has a stronger urine odor, it could be anything, including a UTI. Animals get many of the same illnesses as humans as they age. My daughter's older cat recently stopped eating. After some tests, they found she had a thyroid condition that was causing all her symptoms. A couple of weeks on a medication and she was acting like herself again. Good luck and stay safe!
Hi Madeline, I'm wondering if maybe somewhere it got on the floor or is a hiding to cause the order that's not going away? Do you have you're liter box in a covered container with a cat door on it or is it open completely?
Have you taken your cat for a checkup at the vet? That is where I would start, making sure your pet is healthy. Hopefully you can rule out a urinary tract infection, kidney problems, or diabetes. The vet will probably have some good suggestions for you to try. Best to you.
I’ve noticed when the weather is humid the cat odors get so much stronger! Can you run a dehumidifier?
Hi Madeline, yes I have cats (more than 1) and I notice during the hot weather they drink and pee more. If you cat is acting OK, just keep and eye out for changes, then you may want to see your vet. I use the cheapest litter possible and dump the entire box, spray with lysol and return so they can use it again. Have you tried some type of plug ins that smell good? I hope this helps you. Good luck with your furry friend.
Put a cup of OdoBan out. It should help to eliminate the smell.
Hi Madeline, baking soda should also help reduce the odor, add it to the litter, it should help and it is not expensive.
