Make it a table top with a piece of round glass over the face.
Remove the back (face) of the clock from the surrounding frame, then remove the hands, etc. and clock mechaanism. You can then cover the old clock area with fabric or get some type of decorative item and glue or decoupage it into the space. Even a photo could be added. Put the pieces back toether and hang it in an appropriate place. I once redid a wall clock by taking it apart as descripbed, then printing out "Who Cares?" on a sheet of paper & carefully cutting it out and adhereing it to the face of the clock after painting over all the numbers. I did leave the hands as it was still an operable clock. It has drew many compliments, before I finally sold it to a n acquaintance.

You could add flowers to it. A cute idea would be to set it to 5:01 if you have a leisure or bar area for "after 5" activities.
