Here's some wreaths and pom pom rugs, take a look through:
Make a picture - sketch a scene and then use the lengths (cut to suit) to stick on in place of paint. Stick on the sides of Plant pots to decorate. Make Tassels or pompoms. use to decorate a picture frame etc....Have fun.
Garland of trim for anything from decor to parties. Here is a home talkers project:
Use them to decorate packages. Ties for small garden plants. Cord ties. Bows for diy hair clips. Tie them together and tie your newspapers up ( but let them go if they scream)!! Loops around hangers for another hanger or accessories for outfit planning (scarf /socks/necklace). Good luck!
Tassles or pom poms.
You could make a variety latch hook rug, grouping colors together for a tie dye effect.
How about hot pads?
Could you use it as filling for a homemade pillow?
I found this info for you hope it helps you out
Hi Maureen. Before I start, this is going to sound crazy. My sister lives on a farm. She spread her left over yarn pieces around several trees in her yard. The birds got them and used them in making their nests. The yarn actually help insulate their nests. Who knew? It's crazy but it works. Good luck Maureen. I hope you are well.
No, this doesn't sound crazy at all. During a room re-do a few years ago, I had the old pieces of carpet underlay dumped out on the patio for a while. Later in the season when trimming a tree, I found a nest that, you guessed it, was fully lined with little bits of the same underlay.
One thing I did was to get a sink protector/strainer from the dollar tree that has a lot of holes in it. Then, I doubled the yarn and put the loop through one hole and then pulled the ends through the loop to secure it. I did this all over the protector/strainer and when I was finished, it looked like a little rug. Then, I put bits of food in it and my friends Guinea Pig had a ball rooting around for the food. It also makes a nice little bed for smaller cats/dogs :)
Hello I would consider making decorative tassels for a throw.
Donate them to a elementary school, especially one in a less advantaged area. Teachers will make good use of them.
More often than not, there is just no budget for crafts resources, and often teachers pay for materials out of their own pockets.
Kids can have some fun creating instant hair!
