Yes, Goo gone works on pretty much anything, it's great stuff!
Any vegetable oil such as olive oil, safflower oil, etc. on a soft, non-abrasive cloth will remove the sticky stuff. and won't smell bad, like GooGone does. I believe WD-40 will also work.

Cerama Bryte has a stainless steel cleaner and it works great.
Apply a little oil to help get the stickiness off! Any cooking oil. works when removing sticky labels on jars.

Since you tried so many things and not had any luck yet, why not call the store where you purchased the item and ask for their advice? They surely have to remove the residue/sticky stuff from some of their floor models at the store.
Good luck! I'd be very careful using the Magic Eraser as it can be slightly abrasive.
I use vegetable oil then wipe with soapy warm water. Final step is a microfiber cloth.
I keep a tiny jar of vegetable oil and baking soda, stirred into a paste under my kitchen sink. I have not found any adhesive that won't come off with a little rubbing. Wash with a degreaser after all adhesive is loosened. It is pennies compared to purchasing Goo Gone or other remover.
