Hello. Sometimes mats can be used for a cushion non slip or protection. While not a PVC grip mat I do use a yoga mat around the house for putting on the coffee table for my grandson to play with cars and trucks on or in my back trunk to haul groceries keep the dog bed stable.
Could the mat be used as cushion in between cast iron fry pans or enamel cast-iron pots? Sometimes cutting it up might increase your creative applications.
They can be used on shelves or in drawers to keep things from sliding.

Use as Protectors or for things you don't want to slip around. Cut up and stick under ornaments to stop scratches. To the bottom of chairs, tables etc.
Some ideas might be placemats, coasters, shelf liner, surface protector...
