I use the "space bags" for the majority of them. The ones that you remove the air from to minimize storage bulk. I also keep one draped across the couch and each recliner. In each bedroom I have an additional blanket or quilt in case the person sleeping in that room gets cold.
Hi Judy, I am not sure if you are looking to store them out of sight or if you mind seeing them but I love it when blankets are stored in old buffets or bookshelves with glass doors. You can see the beautiful designs and they are easy to get to.
Hello. I have used space bags or plastic totes. I either use bed risers or I have upgraded one bed to a steel frame (and remove my boxspring) to have 14 inches of space under my spare room beds. My home has a lack of closet space.
I have faux leather ottomans that also have storage and that's where we keep all of our blankets.
I store in a storage ottoman
Hi Judy, If you have very limited space, you can stoe blankets in between your mattress and boxsprings. I actually store mine in large plastic shopping bags on the very top shelf of my guest room closet. I label the bag so I know which blanket is in which bag.
Lots of my older disabled clients seem to have a wealth of quilts, blankets and comforters. I like the vacuum bags that suck the air out flattening and then stored under the bed. Fresh as a daisy and fluff right back up when you need one. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=vacuum+storage+bags+for+comforters+and+blankets&crid=2V8LRUIKEJUE8&sprefix=vacuum+storage%2Caps%2C261&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-a-p_4_14 once in a while I find a few at the dollar store too.
Blanket ladder or under the bed bins
You can use space bags and store them under the bed or on a high shelf. If they are pretty blankets, you could store some on a blanket ladder:http://www.beautifullifemarket.com/index.php/2017/05/30/ugly-home-office-makeover-part-8a-simple-diy-blanket-ladder/
