I would go to Home Goods or Kirklands and look at something in metal to place on the side table. They have amazing bowls, candles etc.
I would hang that sconce on the wall. You could add some nail head detail to the end table..... https://lovegrowswild.com/2014/05/nailhead-trim-end-table-makeover/
Wow! If you really are looking to change your style to a more industrial look, you'll need to start replacing most of what you already own as it doesn't really lend itself to that look. You could start slowly by recovering the couches or painting them. Look at other rooms that you really like and want to be living in - choose your primary color scheme. Paint will start making huge differences! Paint the walls and trim (the skinny 50's wood baseboard isn't the look!) Add additional metal pieces as curtain rods, other accessories, shelving, etc. A lot of that you DIY
Have fun!
There really is not a way to compliment an accessory such as a lamp. Accessories are used to compliment the style of your room, that, in your case, is quite traditional (going by the sofa style & upholstery fabric). I doubt that you want to redo or replace perfectly good upholstery so I would try to use your industrial light in another area---maybe in the hall or bathroom or even kitchen area. Your table needs a traditional lamp to accentuate the more traditional style of your room.
I love that lamp! I think a small pile of old books would look great next to it!
Maybe a plant next to it
A few larger books stacked underneath to make it taller.
I think a plant would look nice, and perhaps a wood tray with a candle and some of grapevine orbs.
Something like this would look good with the lamp: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/264938390575955097/
This would look nice, too: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/165366617557363038/
I think it may be intended for hanging on the wall rather than sitting on a table.
I want to thank all those who responded to my question. I have decided to return the lamp. I was a battery operated which I wanted but it didn’t give off enough light
