Do you have a photo of the space? That could really help with ideas for you!
Hi Janet you might find what you're looking forward at a salvage yard. Lots of times they have whole "kitchens" available for sale that they removed from homes. A floor to ceiling pantry might be perfect for your space.
Depending on your space, that should be a simple thing to do. You will need to frame in the area and add cabinet doors. It may be simpler to purchase a cabinet to fit the space. We found one for my daughter that was a perfect fit between her refrigerator and wall. So if you aren't in a hurry, take your measurements and start hunting. If you have a Southeastern Salvage store in your area, it is a great resource for this type pieces.
You also might want to contact local carpenters or even the Restore to see if they have anything that would do.
IKEA might be another place to look, at least to give you a price, it might be more cost effective than a diy project.
A picture would be very helpful. Thanks!!!
here is some info Janet

I think it would be nice! Extra storage is always a bonus!
This is a pantry, but you could do the same thing and just finish the inside off with shelving for your specific needs. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/build/shelves/diy-built-in-pantry-for-less-than-100-44373590
