Non toxic? You can use latex paint with low VOC to paint them.
Latex paint is a great solution. Make sure to clean them well before you begin.
Use water based paint for all arcrilic paint is best easy clean small minimal .I think Benjamin More has a low Oder paint .
I used Decor Americana Satins Enamel paint to paint my bathroom cabinet. It has next to no odor and you don’t need to sand the cabinets before painting.
I also used Americana Decor Satin Enamels paint to paint a cabinet in another bathroom: https://momhomeguide.com/painted-bathroom-vanity-one-room-challenge/
You could try chalk paint
you can buy non toxic paints - (you said non topic but think that was a typo)

Hi! Water based paints are much safer than they used to be. You can also research them online and they will list any warnings, etc. It's on labels, too, but tiny print is not one of my favorite things. I also like to get it mixed ar the paint counter, so I can discuss what I am using it for. I've learned a lot from those folks over the years! Good luck!
I'm assuming you mean non toxic? If these cabinets are in the garage, and you can open the doors and have a constant flow of air coming it, then I wouldn't be so worried about what product you are using in terms of toxcicity. You could also wear a mask (like true construction N95 mask. Here is also a website that has some non-toxic stain ideas. https://www.mychemicalfreehouse.net/2019/06/natural-finishes.html
Hello,
Wear a mask and buy one of the new Gloss paints as they don't contain lead!
Talk to someone at the paint store or paint counter at your local home improvement store and they'll point you in the direction of non-toxic and/or low VOC paints.
