How do I “treat” a really dry deck?
My deck’s wood is dry and has fine cracks in it. I’m wanting to take something a garden spray pump and give it a “hot oil treatment” or some kind of “moisturizer”.
Something that sinks in, until I can make some repairs.
Is Thompson’s Water Seal going to do that or will it just seal the top?

Thompson's will suck it up quickly. You might first try pressure washing with a wooden deck cleaner to rid of any pollutants and revive it. Adding a stain will help if you don't like the color after cleaning and fully dry.
Hello. What is your decks existing finish? Is it sealed painted or stained? More information might be helpful. Also a thorough cleaning before any applications suggested.
This will bring it back to new https://amzn.to/3x2tlOX
The sealer you use will soak in and you will probably have to do a few coats as the wood soaks up the sealer
First clean it well - a pressure washer would be best. Once it's dry, give it a few coats of Thompson's Water Seal.
