Hello. Finding a trash can to insert could be ideal to use as a planter. A trip to the thrift store might be a place to consider looking. I would consider trimming off the handles.
Hi Sandy, coconut skin is surprisingly durable and your beautiful bag would make a wonderful planter. I would line the bag with plastic (a heavy-duty plastic bag or even bubble wrap would work). Add some pea gravel in the bottom and make a few small holes to assist with drainage.
Here's a demo on how to do this:

I would line it with plastic and put potted plants inside.
Just to be on the safe side, I would go with something tropical that require much water. After spraying with something like CampDry and lining the bag, add a large planter and put succulents inside. To keep it from being heavy and promoting drainage, you can fill the bottom of the pot with empty soda cans. Then add well draining soil and plants.

Turn a Purse Into a Planter
I found this purse planter tutorial that may help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ttEWvG2a8Y
I would place a pot inside it to protect it from the moisture
it may not hold up well for a planter since you will be watering plants in it
cut off the handles and place some pebbles on the bottom then add plants in their pots
You could put a plant in it with a plastic planter to protect the inside

Hi there,
Line with Poly bag and fill with compost/soil and plants, or Line as before and add pebbles for stability and then add Pot Plants.
