A simple & elegant table setup for my favorite season of the year!
Fall is truly a magical time of year in upstate New York. I love to drive along the country roads of Washington County with no real destination, just soaking in the beautiful foliage and antiquing in my favorite little village of Greenwich. Apple picking, mums, pumpkins, cider and leaves of golden hues covering the ground...it's no wonder I use the word "magical" to describe how I feel about this time of year.
I thought it would be fun to share my fall decor ideas for my dining area with you. I created this entire look for under $100 thanks to good ole' Homegoods.
To create this look, I started by layering pattern with pattern. I went with lattice place mats and floral cloth napkins/table runner from Ralph Lauren.

Instead of traditional gourds or pumpkins as accents, I decided to use glass pumpkins...this one below has a mercury finish and is paired with a salt & pepper shaker set I found at the Country Living Fair in June...
I fell in LOVE with these plates the moment I saw them. I don't like when everything is "matchy matchy". I try to find pieces that bring out the best in each other. These plates compliment one another perfectly and tie in well with the runner and place mats...
Instead of formal stemware, I thought it would be fun to use mason jars and jazz them up with gold & white paper drinking straws. They work with my 'not-so-formal' lifestyle and my kids love them!
So that's it! My autumn-inspired tablescape for under $100. I hope you like it as much as I do and more importantly, I hope it inspires you to do something fun with your home decor this fall - Thanks for visiting!!!
