This is a super easy way to add a vintage touch to any couch, chair, love seat or bed. Start scouring your local flea markets for a flour or grain sack and you're on your way!
This vintage flour sack was a steal at my local monthly flea market. I was drawn to it by the fantastic ticking stripes and faded lettering.
The "pillow" ended up being longer than a traditional king size pillow so I filled it with two regular sized bed pillow inserts. It really looked right at home on my love seat next to my other grainsack-type pillows.
I looked up Continental Baking Company and found out that they purchased Hostess, the maker of Twinkies, and Wonderbread! My kids love Twinkies so they love the pillow, too!
I have a second flour sack that I can't wait to transform into another vintage "pillow."
