Let there be Light!


The Main motivation for this kitchen remodel was lack of natural lighting and the desire for a more social configuration.
Before- This yellowish recessed fluorescent lighting just wasn't enough.

Before- The design also called for removing the bearing wall that separated the kitchen and family room.

The 8' ceiling was removed and a dormer was added with 3 new south facing windows. We also enlarged the existing lower window to bring in as much natural light as possible.

We loved how the new Beechwood Cabinets turned out. This huge island allowed for a more social atmosphere and more than made of for the loss of cabinet space in the wall that was removed.
