Brownie on Mar 01, 2015They showed a wall like this in the Mideast scenes in trsnsformers movie, #2 I believe. Inspired me to want one, but haven't been able to collect the bottles yet. Id suggest you think along lines of caulking or plaster, even concrete if outside.... Watch the transformers movie where they look for old ancient primes that sacrificed themselves for the arc of leadership, or whatever they called it.Helpful Reply

Dee on Mar 01, 2015E6000 does not last outside. I tried gluing some glass on ceramic and it fell off from the moisture in the air. I would use silicone to glue the bottles, it is meant for moisture and cold. That is what I am going to use next time.Helpful Reply

Tracy on Mar 01, 2015My thought would be to drill a whole thru the bottle of each wine bottle and "thread" them on to a rod of metal or wood.Helpful Reply

Brownie on Mar 01, 2015They make these type of walls in the middle east all the time to utilize sunlight but enjoy privacy. Better than windows. That's why I mentioned that movie... Transformers: The Fallen. Near end of movie, when shia and Megan run through buildings to hide when being hunted, they show multiple walls like this.... Some type of clay/plaster/cement/mortar.... I will try to find a photo from movie.Helpful Reply

Brownie on Mar 01, 2015There was a different example on the tree hugger website of a guy who used open bottles near a river, and when weather worsened with wind and rain, the bottles would whistle. But this house in photo shows different bottles used together.Helpful Reply

D & K on Mar 02, 2015Lowes offers a brand of thin set mortar specifically designed to "stick" glass blocks together, You might check into that. Personally I'd use one of the quality silicone adhesive caulks if you're going vertical.Helpful Reply
