Kitchen Remodel Mixes Modern With Rustic

Texas homeowners achieve classic look with custom-made pieces in remodeled kitchen. Angie’s List members Greg and Tammy O’Hearn decided to renovate their kitchen last year after living 14 years in their Flower Mound, Texas, home.
The O’Hearns hired highly rated Creative Elements in Flower Mound for the project, mainly because the company operated from a local office, Greg says. “I had no ideas about remodeling or where to start, so I became a member [of Angie’s List] and looked to see what was nearby,” he says.
Whitson says the job went well because they worked out the details beforehand. “We walked into their existing kitchen, and I just asked them what they didn’t like, and what they would like,” she says.
A black island, which Tammy wanted to look like furniture, stands out in the middle. “I had the island base custom made by Zac Divine Carpentry in Denison, Texas,” she says.
Now that it’s finished, Greg says he wouldn’t change a thing in the remodeled kitchen. “We have gotten so many compliments from friends, neighbors and family on the incredible transformation,” he says in his review of Creative Elements.

Shelby @ The Weathered Barn Studio on Mar 03, 2015..It IS a beautiful place to cook/ enjoy being in / and as we all know...' Everyone usually congregates in the kitchen"..:) I adore white kitchens and I also like how the black island is incorporated...I believe every room ' needs a touch of black'. to ground the space.
