Has anyone ever dyed a patio umbrella with RIT dye?

Hey Dave, I too love how your umbrella turned out! What type of fabric is your umbrella made of ?
Hello,
You could always use Sharpies and Free Style, or Use Applique, or just cover old cover with new fabric.
I painted mine. The paint added more sun blocking then dye would. The paint overlaps the holes in the umbrella (assuming you don't have a solid one).
Easier to apply and touch up also.
