Tray Styling

Pieced Pastimes
by Pieced Pastimes
A recent invitation from One Kings Lane found me filling a tray in a way that reflected my personal style.
Trays are so nice to contain collections. An eclectic mix of items seem to be far nicer when gathered within the parameters of a tray.
I lean towards a rustic, minimalistic look with an emphasis on character and charm. I like simple objects that are easily obtainable.
A sturdy rattan tray is filled with a potted ivy, a green seed sphere, some old books and a glass paperweight.
I always try to include colors, textures and layers in my vignettes to give the display more visual interest.
