Is there an easy way to remove the wax from the toilet mount when installing a new toilet?

Sharon...Just scrape it off with a paint stirrer or tool of some sort such as a screwdriver. My husband tells me it is very important to clean the old in order to establish a good seal. After getting it removed wipe well with a rag. Good luck!

After scraping, wipe down with mineral spirits or alcohol to remove all residue.
