The right color pink can almost be considered a neutral these days, depending on what colors are paired with it. There is also nothing so sweet as just the right amount of pink for a little girl’s room. So as soon as I found out General Finishes Milk Paint line now had a pink, I knew it was one I wanted to try! Let me tell you, this color doesn’t disappoint! It’s beautiful.

I got so excited to start painting I forgot to get a before picture. icon You can see a before picture in my video though.

So here's what I did in this project:

First I scuffed, sanded and cleaned my piece. I used 220 grit sandpaper to scuff and sand. A mix of 50/50 denatured alcohol and water in a spray bottle works well to clean the piece.

Then I painted! I used 2.5 coats of Ballet Pink Milk Paint on this piece. (The half coat is just to cover any additional spots that needed a little extra).

Next I distressed the piece. This step is done to one's taste. I just did a bit of distressing with the 120 grit sandpaper. Not much, just a little bit.

Finally, I attached the hardware. I used a mix of some knobs I had in my hardware stash as well as some new pulls.

Isn't it a beautiful color? I just love how subtle it turned out.
