What do you need to know? How can we help you?
Looks like they used base cabinet for the platform. Framed all together. Built the upper platform with an extension of decking to create the boat shape. Then furred in the boat sides. Very cute and creative!
Can you send a photo and be more specific?
Did you want to change the nautical theme? That doesn't look very difficult to do except for the removal of the boat shape . Take down the netting , the life preserver, the flags, that throw rug, and once you get some with that boat shape...Paint it any color you like . Hang some art on the walls that's more of expression of who you are .
What an amazing room!
What are you going to use the room for? A bedroom? For whom? A child/children? A guest? It looks like a lovely, well lit space. Start by taking the "ship" apart
You don't tell us what your intent is. I find the room gorgeous as is for children but I'm thinking you may now want a more grown up room. I would start by removing the boat, the ladders (I don't see what their purpose are) I would reuse against a wall to be bookcases. Change the paint, add different bed covers and rug to suit your interest and it woudl be a very nice room. Oh, remove the flag banners too.
I want to make this for my sons room any recommendation on how to do it will be help full
Your room is perfect as is...so nice with the soft blue nautical theme...are your boys young or teens? What do they like as far as a style? You should have some ideas in mind for their age and going forward into the years ahead....
