I have simply stapled it to the back of a wooden frame. You could build frames out of wood pieces with a mitre saw for the corners, or using corner brackets to connect the corners with straight cuts.
Once you make the cabinets for the book case leave the opening open and apply the chicken wire by stapling it to the back of the cabinet frame.
Hi ! Measure out the dimensions of the front of the bookcase , divide the width in half , the height stays the same . Using wood make 2 frames , both frames should
Equal the size of the front of your bookcase . When you pick up the chicken wire pick up 4 hinges , a closure for the doors and stain to match your bookcase . Stain the frames , cut the chicken wire, slightly larger than the opening, but not enough to hang over the edge of the frame. You can use a staple gun to attach the wire to the back of the frames . The hinges should be attached , NOT at they very top and bottom , but a couple of inches in . Measure , and measure again !!! Mark both the frames and the bookcase and add your hinges. Then mark where you want to place the closure to keep the doors closed and add the hardware !
