Build a basic DIY outdoor pallet sofa chair for your patio, decking or garden.. even put it in your home or office interior! Using reclaimed Euro pallets you can build this love seat with just a few hand held power tools. No specialist skills or experience needed, just a can-do attitude to making stuff. Ask at your local warehouse about free pallets and they're usually more than happy to give them away to you. These heavy duty workhorses of the haulage industry make cool and unique furniture. Add a few coffee sack cushions for a real vintage furniture, rustic effect with a touch of industrial style.
Check out my ETSY store, where there are downloadable PDFs priced at no more than a bottle of wine - which means makers like me can keep making and sharing.
This is one of the first 'big' pallet projects I tried. Euro Pallets are notoriously difficult to split apart but the good news for this project is - you don't need to!
TOOLS USED: Electric drill or impact driver, Circular saw or Reciprocating saw
MATERIALS USED: 4 Standard Euro Pallets, Lots of decking screws! Plate casters

Grab your materials and lay two pallets down. Go ahead and cut the middle out of two of them.
Continue to stack the two pallets on top of one another and drill them together, ensuring that they are sturdy and stable.
Use long decking screws to do this.
Next step is to cut the slat of the seating area. Measure the needed length and see how many slat you need to fill out the area. Drill those pieces into place. We are well on our way!
Screw in casters on each corner.
You may have to flip the chair over to do this
Use short decking screws and make sure the locking casters are at the front
The final sofa chair looks great with coffee sack cushions.. and will be an excellent addition to my patio!
Please watch the video below to see the whole process in detail.
