Usually once they start to yellow it's over. Unless you've applied wax and it's the wax that has yellowed. Try vinyl floor wax remover , sold at big box floors.

Vinyl dolls, floors, patio furniture, and many other items react with any sunlight plus time and will yellow. If you really like your vinyl floor, you can use wax remover and clean the floor without sanding off the shiny top. Then go over the floor a few feet at a time with a floor stain you like. Apply a little stain, then wipe off the surface almost immediately. The stain will change the color a little but not the design, and will also make tiny cracks look like real stone. It’s just an idea. ☺️

Ammonia is the answer, just spread some around on the floor

and let it sit for maybe 10 minutes,

It will cause all the old yellow wax to crumble up.

You'll need to scoop it all up, then wash the floor as usual.

I have been washing the floor with ammonia and was told that is what caused by floor to yellow.

The ammonia is to strip the wax off, not to clean the floors with.

It works for me but I rarely use any kind of wax on the floors.
