Depends what is stained but in general I like Campanelli stain remover when all else fails.

I agree with others, it would be helpful to know what the stain was on...however, I usually go with the most gentle solution first. I would try a few teaspoons of Dawn dishwashing liquid and warm water. If it's on a delicate fiber, don't scrub. Just rinse it through a few time and if it's a garment, don't put it in the dryer until the stain is out completely or the heat will lock it in.
Frist thing you would need to do is to mix one tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent and one tablespoon of white vinegar with two cups of warm water. Then, sponge the stain with the detergent/vinegar solution; tamp with a brush or spoon. And finally, sponge with water; blot until the liquid is absorbed.
