How do you get lime deposits off glass shower doors and keep them off?

  • CLR works great. Lime is in your water, all you can do is keep cleaning. Or possibly invest in a whole house water filter system.

CLR works great but vinegar cuts lime/calcium

Believe it or not, when you get the shower doors free of lime deposits, use Car Wax on them once a year, and they stay clean!

Use a calcium/lime remover and then after every shower, use a squeegee on the doors to remove water. It's definitely a pain to do this every time with a squeegee, but it does work.

Products like limeaway work well, and then, if you coat the glass with a thin layer of baby oil when you clean the shower it should keep the lime and soap deposits off the glass

Thank you for your help! I tried "Magic Eraser" first, it only took off the top film, not the mineral hard water spots on the glass. I had "Lime a way" and used that with a 3M green scrubbie and the spots came off! Then I used Rain X as some suggested and hoping that will bead up and keep the glass clean! I also am getting my water softner checked, thinking its not doing its job either. Thank you!
