Windex works great or rubbing alcohol

If soap won't work, maybe Goo Gone?

Hi Yamit. You could try some denatured alcohol, then rinse with water.

none of the liquids will harm the lenses, but the cloth choice will. I just use my fingers very gently, to rub on goo gone, soapy water, rinse under faucet, windex and use microfiber to to dry..with windex, too. Also if you don't have Goo Gone on hand, coconut oil works well.

Be aware, that sometimes alcohol can remove the shine from plastic so check in a hidden place first. That's why I recommended Goo Gone.

Goo Gone might work, but it is a petroleum base and has a chemical odor. I personally would rub a generous amount of cooking oil and then rub on enough baking soda to form a paste. Continue to finger-rub until adhesive is gone. Then wash with warm soap and water. Eco friendly, safe and everything you need is likely already in your kitchen. I use this method to remove label adhesive from jars and bottles.

Make a layer of Dawn blue dish detergent over the sticky area. Rub in.

Set aside for 3 hours, then rinse in warm water, rubbing the area to remove Dawn and stickiness.

WD-40 would work well for this purpose. That's what car dealers use to remove the adhesive from price stickers.

Tried vegetable oil, then alcohol, then heavy wash with soap and water. Nothing worked, even got worse. Since the issue was caused by heat, leaving them in the car, I now put them in the freezer but with little hope. Went for a new pair but at $150 I preferred to go for the $15 Polarspex. They look the same but are very light and feel like a piece of crap in your hand, but aren't the Ray Ban that got sticky just that?

  • I use peanut butter or olive oil whenever I need to remove something sticky.

  • First, I would try a little Dawn dish soap. If that doesn't work, peanut butter. I'd hesitate to use chemicals that may damage the glasses.

  • I would try Dawn dish soap first. If that doesn't work, try a little peanut butter. I hesitate to use any chemicals that may damage the glasses.

If you first try soaking them for a few minutes in warm water then use goo gone on them, that should clean them up for you

  • If the issue was caused by heat, you might be out of luck unfortunately. If it's something that left a residue, a product like Goo Gone or WD-40 should do the trick.
