Bar Keepers Friends remove rust from metal sinks, maybe it would work on pans also, if the rust is cosmetic and not deep. You can find it where Ajax and Comet cleansers are sold. It does not scratch or harm sinks so probably won't pans
Soak them in white vinegar for 24 hours.
Steel wool or Sos & alot of elbow grease
SOS pads are great.
What type of pan? If cast iron it will be a different process.
Sprinkle the pan bottoms with a layer of baking soda. Then spray on some hydrogen peroxide. Let it sit at least several hours, ideally overnite ,then simply wipe clean with a wet rag! Will have them Sparkling!!
