How do I remove cloudiness from crystal?

If you put it in the dishwasher and it is etched, it cannot be removed. Only thing to try is Heated white vinegar. Let sit for a few hours, then see if it comes off.

I agree with Dee. Hope you didn't wash in dishwasher. Same happens to plastic glasses. They get etched from the dishwashing detergent. The new pods are the worst.

Hopefully you did not place in dishwasher. That etches them - permanently. Never ever place high end crystal in a dishwasher. Try soaking in white vinegar, then hand wash and dry.

I purchased the high end crystal at an estate sale thinking they just needed to be washed and when I washed them the cloudiness did not come off. The previous owners must have put them in the dishwasher, Thanks for your reply's. Joyce

You can also get permanent cloudiness from putting flowers in crystal and not changing the water daily. Adding a splash of bleach helps the flowers and the crystal. Try Barkeepers Friend on a green scrubbie. If it doesn't work, it's etched.
