Windex is the best thing to clean the dust all the electronics seem to attract in our dashboards. So that means, ammonia and water. The blue and the scent and the Brand name are just extras. ☺️

.I don't like to use sprays or cleaners in the car, if possible. So I prefer a damp microfiber cloth to clean with, and then a dry microfiber cloth to dry. A soft brush is perfect for nooks and crannies. A soft toothbrush and/or a small paintbrush works best for me

I would spray Pledge on a soft cloth, then after you clean it, use the rag, and it will be nice and shinny. Best wishes, J.

Way back in the 70's I used to use liquid floor way to get the top of my black dashboard shiny, but now there is ArmorAll.

I had just the same trouble for looking cleaner for dashboard. After reading scratch remover reviews I desided to try one from Meguiars. Honour bright, just the excellent solution to make the car dashboard really shiny.

My local Dollar store has small bottles of Amorall.

If you want to DIY anyway, cleaning is one step, shining is another.

If you've more than dust, then mild soap and water, with clean water wipe down. If there's a greasy finger print or food residue, then spot treat it with Dawn and make sure to get the soap wiped off.

For shine, make sure that whatever you use, doesn't attract and hold future dust. For that I use Armorall Protectant, but its not $1.
