Create a snowman centerpiece to celebrate the winter season or Christmas!

I had a blog challenge to create a Christmas centerpiece. A snowman top hat container was the inspiration for my centerpiece

and Christmas table, found at Hobby Lobby in early November.

I knew it would be a perfect ‘fit’ for my table to accompany

my Top Hat Snowman Plates purchased last year!

Sprigs of cedar, juniper, boxwood and holly berries cut from the yard provide a base for the arrangement. They’re supported by chicken wire in a plastic container, which will be dropped into the top hat!

I like using chicken wire for flower arranging as it's an eco-friendly alternative to floral foam as it can be reused. You can find it at the craft store in small rolls or larger rolls in the garden center and cut it to size you need. Cut a piece about 5 - 6 inches wider than the opening of your container so you can bend the edges to hold it in place against the walls of your container. Arrange your greenery to your liking, to fill in the container.

Candy canes are wired with floral picks, found on the floral aisle of the craft store to tuck in among the greenery.

Ornament and holly picks, a snowflake, and a Cardinal ornament from my Christmas decorating bins were

added for little Christmas cheer and embellishment to the greenery.

Here is the finished arrangement. I placed it on plaid plate on a cake pedestal for a centerpiece. Candy canes, a few sprigs of greenery and holly were tucked in under the plate.

Here is the centerpiece at the table. Visit HERE for more photos, table sources and Christmas centerpiece inspiration! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
