Thanksgiving Turkey Place Cards

I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year, and because I'm not a very good cook, I'm planning to distract my guests with cute decor. Hahaha! The first thing I decided to do was make some adorable place cards to greet my family when they sit down at the table. These place cards are unique and such a cute touch for Thanksgiving! I only needed simple supplies, like wooden beads, card stock, feathers, hot glue, and markers. (If you like simple and cute projects, check out my Holidays Gallery on my blog for more great ideas!)
I began by hot gluing together two wooden beads in different sizes.
Next, I hot glued a feather (that I trimmed to size), to the back of the larger wooden bead.
I cut card stock into the shape of feathers, and gently fringed the edges to make them look more realistic. Then I hot glued those into place on the back of the large wooden bead.
Next up, I used a Sharpie to add eyes.
And finally, a gold marker to write names on the card stock feathers.
And that is ALL it took to make darling Thanksgiving turkey place cards for this special holiday! The hardest part about this project is cutting the paper - seriously! They go together really quickly and are a great project to make at night in front of the TV. I guarantee your guests will love them!
