Someone gave me these boots and they didn't fit anyone in the family, I didn't want to toss them. So I thought I wonder if I could use Unicorn SPiT Gel Stain on them. You can use that SPiT on just about everything...So why not give it a try.
The Boots where really shiny and I knew I had to take it down some.
I got a can of Denatured Alcohol and started wiping. It not only took the shine off but the brown dye too. I was happy with the color and I knew exactly What I wanted to do.
First I took Unicorn SPiT Molly Red Pepper and with a lint free cloth I wiped the stain into the leather to bring out the natural color of the boot. I then took the Blue thunder without diluting it using it full strength and with a artist brush I followed the design on the boot. For the white parts of the design I mixed a small amount of the white acrylic paint with full strength White Ning and applied it with a brush following the design also.
After it dried I Then dry I sprayed 3 coats of clear gloss.
I stuck a vase down inside of the boot so I could put flowers and a American Flag. I can use this in the garden or indoors as a centerpiece. Not only is it a cute addition for Holidays but can be displayed year round.
