We fell in love with this simple project! Using scrap wood and leftover trim we created something to be proud of!

A few weeks ago we were brainstorming new workshop ideas for Fusion Mineral Paint Merchants. That old pile of scrappy wood and trim was the inspiration.

This was the result. Turn scrap bits of old trim into a great big heart. But we didn't want a naked heart. Not when we could 'paint it Beautiful'.

So I took some Milk Paint Stain and added some depth to the wood. Very easy and needs no prep!

I then added my paint. I used Fusion Mineral Paint. I was using such a small amount I used testers. I could have painted another 3 or 4 hearts with the leftover paint. Hop over to the blog to find out what colours I used.

The paint and stain dry in around 20 minutes - I was indoors and it was warm. As soon as all was dry I added my tissue decoupage. It really finished off the look!

Once the decoupage gel was dry I added Homestead house Black Wax. This stuff rocks!

And I was done!

I could not be happier with the finished Heart!
