DIY Pain Relieving Cream

Excellent cream to relieve pain in sore muscles or other body aches and pains. Easy to make, natural ingredients and works fast. I often spread some on instead of having to take Ibuprophen.
First, melt the coconut oil for the base for the cream. Coconut oil is liquid when warm and solid when cool. Around 74 or so it starts to become liquid. Once you make your cream, you can store it in the refrigerator if it's too warm in your house and you don't like it runny. It's a little easier to spread on if it's thicker.
Then, add the essential oils. Lavender, peppermint, eucalyptus, lemon and wild orange are the combination I found worked the best. Check out the recipe on the blog for amounts. Each essential oil has different properties and I have used this combination with great success for pain relief. It works better than store-bought creams like Ben Gay.


The properties in the oils are what cause the cream to be effective. I have never found anything that works as well as this.


Place the coconut oil in a bowl and drop in the recommended amounts of essential oils. Mix it well and pour into small containers. Mason jars work great for this. Get a small dab of the cream on your hand and rub well into the sore muscle, bruise or another sore area. It works great even on strains and sprains.
The older I get the far more aches and pains I have and I use my pain relief cream all the time. I feel good knowing what I'm using is natural. I don't have to worry about what side effects it has.


This cream is so easy to make and takes just a few minutes that when I run out I don't have to dread making more!
