So our dog is 10 years old & he’s a bit small in height - he likes to get up on the bed in the spare room but it’s a bit high for him!!!

so I decided to make him a little step out of a little crate that my hubby got from work!!

Here’s the crate!!!

I decided to cover it so caesar - my dog doesn’t get any splinters in his little paws!!!!

I also thought I would add a little cushion to it aswell for him little legs!!!

such a thoughtful dog mom!!!

Heres the fabric I used for it (I had it in my fabric pile) so didn’t have to buy any!!!!

for added strength I decided to glue the cushion to the crate

Pop the glue on!!!!

Glue on!!!!

Pop on the cushion.

I stood on it to get the glue fully into it!!!!

Then I stapled all around the edges!!

This was easier to do while standing on it as it flattened out the cushion & the staples went in easier!!!!

Measure and cut the fabric to the size you want!!

Just make sure it fits around the bottom

Staple it to the back - pulling tight!!!

Staple around the legs!!! Do the other side!!!

Both sides done!!!

so quick and easy!!!

And here it is complete!!!! Caesar is delighted with it!!!

it makes life easier for him!!!

Side view of it finished- I could have ironed the fabric!!! But who has time for that haha 😂

It's so cool and creative. Dog steps don't always work and some dogs are hesitant to use them. I need to see Caesar.
