My dog has a Coolaroo bed that is stretched out in the center.
Trying to figure out a way to stretch and straighten it out without just throwing it a way
Here's a good tutorial for a DIY cat scratch post: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzUQXBEVgek
An easy way is to get a scrap plank of wood and wrap sisal rope around it or cover it with carpet.
You can add rope to a round or square piece of wood like a post. Then mount on an "X" base or plywood base. E6000 for the rope.
here are ideas/videos https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=diy+cat+scratching+post Only thing I really recommend is make sure it is long/tall enuf for your cat to actual use. It needs to be as long/tall as cat is when they are completely stretched out extended as long as can be. Some cats prefer to scratch horizontally so a wide 6x2 board on a slight slant or laying on ground works best and some like to scratch vertically so using a 4x4 or 4x6 about 4ft long works best. make sure any carpet(cheapest to use and easier to get) or sisal rope attached is done securely so cat doesn't pull out nails staples or glue is toxic to cat if they should eat it. make sure base is heavy enu that cat will not tip/pull it over or they won't use it. here is nice one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzUQXBEVgek&t=114s another https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUFxF-R6GXg one more https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5VLK6jX_P0 posts need to be longer 3-4ft check hardware stores scrap /return sections for remnant wood to use
Thank YOU
