What's the least expensive way to build an aviary?

I would like to build it outside and be able to walk into it. I would like to give my birds the freedom to fly around and live as close to nature as possible; while keeping them safe from predators. Termites can be an issue here in Florida as well as the sun. Thank you in advance for your help and advice.

Hi there Karen, I would suggest you draw up a plan of what you would like, and then where you think you would use timber, used Upvc Pipes instead (Round or Square). There are all sorts of fittings too. Somewhere on Pinterest there might well be such a project if you look up Rainwater Pipe Projects. Good luck! -

We have coffee in the morning, lunch in the afternoon and in the evening after the sun goes down. -

Hi Karen, that's a tall order. You will need to keep it clean much like a giant bird cage, and as you said keep the birds safe. Your best bet is to buy a gazebo kit and screen it in and add a door. You will need to have a level pad and use sharp rocks around it to deter snakes. Enclosing the gazebo with heavy metal fencing along with window screen should keep your predators at bay.
