Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

This was my "IT" Christmas craft this year. This is the last one I'm making until next year. It's a gift for my son's teacher.
Start with a glass vase & a big plastic ornament. I got mine at Dollar Tree. I used Rust-oleum Painters Touch spray paint in Satin Blossom White. Spray the outside of both the vase & ornament.
Using E6000 glue, go around the rim of the vase.
Place the ornament into the top of the vase to create the snowman's head & body. Let dry.
Pick out a cute fleece to make your hat & scarf. I cut a long piece for the scarf (make sure it's long enough. You can always trim later so longer is better) and a rectangle for the hat. The measurement I use is 7.5-8" tall & 13.5" long.
Cut "tassels" into the top of the hat rectangle. I just eyeball the width of each.
Next use hotglue to make the brim. Fold up a small part of the bottom & glue.
Don't burn your thumb like I did!
Roll up the bottom one more time & glue to have a finished edge.
Turn it over & glue the two sides together.
Next using a small rubber band, gather up the top of the hat.
Wrap, tie & hot glue the scarf around the "neck" of the snowman.
Trim scarf & cut "tassels".
Glue hat on.
I used vinyl cut on my Cricut for the face & buttons but you could use sharpies to draw them on.
Place vinyl onto body & face. Your snowman is complete! Stick him in a box & wrap it up pretty! Whoever you gift him to, will love him! (And be impressed you made him with your own two hands!)
