One way is to use a balloon or an extra large egg for the middle while you create a frame with the wire. You have to remove the insides of the egg before you use it. I peck a hole at each end and blow the yolk and white into a bowl (and use it to cook something.) You still have to be very gentle with the shell until the wire frame is complete. Then tap the eggshell into small pieces so they fall out for the trash. Blowing up the right size balloon is much easier. Twist the wire around the balloon until you get the coverage you want. Then finish your creation with glued on crepe paper. To be honest, if you are using the paper like paper mache, you just need the balloon, not the wire. Or maybe I misread your intent. Just enjoy whatever you are making.
