Coins, marbles, jacks (I’m giving away my age), miniature animals, etc. (“Toobs”), a miniature note, a small “heart-shaped” rock (I find them all the time just out walking) or you can buy them, you could even use a marker or paint on it. I could go on and on!!!! Have fun!!!

Hi Rivka: My kids enjoyed getting little coupons that I made for them, like "Good for 1 trip to the ice cream store" "Good for 1 time of my making your favourite dessert for dinner" "Good for 1 time of you picking what to have for dinner", Good for 1 time of you selecting what movie we go see." ,etc.

Marbles & jacks were the first two items I thought of....so I guess it is a "senior" thought! :)

You might also be able to place a small packet of seeds to encourage gardening and then help plant and the kids would learn how to grow flowers/veggies.

  • There are numerous ideas for small toys that you could fill eggs with: bouncy balls, small craft items, Play-Doh, tiny cars like Micro Machines, mini kazoos, hand stamps, toy accessories, mini rubber ducks, fake bugs, pirate patches or just for fun—confetti!

Money, the more enclosed then it's more difficult to find.

Small toys like you would get from the "quarter" machines - jewelry, bouncy balls, squishy toys, fidgets, poppers, and such. Check out the Dollar Stores and look at the novelty items to do gift bags for birthdays.

Little toiletries are usually a good idea. You could also put little word search game books or things like that

  • One year I filled them with tiny figurines that they were collecting...but any small toys would do!
