The choice is yours, some start a beginning of December, some wait until Christmas Eve..
I have always done it the weekend after Thanksgiving. However, last year I put it up the day before and it was lovely. Think I might do it again this year.
We usually put our tree up on Dec 1st. If I have it up too long I get kinda sick of it by Christmas. :)
Yes, it is a personal choice when to do this, just like when to take them down.
Over the years with children growing up, we would go and cut a Christmas tree and put it up about a week before Christmas. If the tree is cut too early and sets around until we were ready to put it up, we'd have a mess to deal with, especially with short needled trees and a low pile carpet. As for other decorations, as soon as you feel the Christmas joy and spirit setting in and gets you in the mood, go for it.
I tend to not let the commercialization of the holidays rule in my choices.
Mid December works for our family with a fresh tree.
I always start decorating for Christmas over Thanksgiving weekend.
I do it the day after Thanksgiving, gives you an entire month to enjoy the tree. If I had a real tree it would be around December 12th, they dry out too fast.
Hello generally after Thanksgiving. But this year perhaps earlier as we are celebrating Thanksgiving a week ahead to accommodate our children’s busy schedule. It might be exciting for grandchildren to get an early peek. Happy thanksgiving to you and yours Peggy.
We start decorating on the 1st of December, although my daughter will sneak a few festive things in before the time

It is up to you, Peggy. No set rules as when to start decorating. My neighbors have already put up their tree and are doing the outside decorating today. So do whatever makes you happy.
Came across this today…interesting…

Traditionally people have put their decorations up after thanksgiving but it is getting earlier and earlier. Guy down the street put them up after halloween (seems a little early).
Yet another. I need to get going smiling

My daughter's birthday is 11/9 so I've always decorated just after that. It's so much work and too beautiful to only be able to enjoy for less than a month. I started on mine last week.
I usually start the day after Thanksgiving or December first. A lot of people decorate even earlier than that so it's up to you :)
I usually start decorating Dec 1, but I did pull out my smallest tree the other day :)
