I found this pumpkin at the Dollar Tree. I liked that it would be easy to use with scrapbooking paper and embellished any way you would want. So, here goes.

I took off the raffia bow that it came with.

I then took a mixture of orange paint and a little bit of water to thin it out so the wood texture would show through where I wanted.

I decided to just paint it all out since I had enough of the paint mixture.

I then found some paper I wanted to put on the raised portions. This matches my decor. What’s great about this is that you can paint it out and use whatever paper you wanted to match your decor. I laid the paper on top of the raised portions and used my finger to make an outline. It left a line where I needed to cut it out. So easy!

I used Aleene’s tacky glue to adhere the paper to the wood.

Cute huh!

I then embellished it with a burlap leaf and a bow I had hanging around in my stash.

On my mantle for Halloween.

I had another one and thought I would use a different paper on it.

I added a bow, paper flower and a metal welcome sign from the Dollar Tree that I spray painted black on this one! Such a quick and easy project that you can match to wherever you want to place it.
